Privacy Policy
Effective date: [LAUNCH DATE]
1. Who we are
This site is operated by Earlville Media LLC, New York, USA. Contact: [SUPPORT EMAIL], [MAILING ADDRESS].
2. What we collect
- When you buy: your name and email address, the state and postal code you provide so we can calculate sales tax, and order metadata (what you bought, the amount, the date, and a transaction reference). We are the seller of record, so we hold these order records directly, and we use them to deliver the book and honor updates and refunds. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, Elavon, in its own secure hosted fields — we receive confirmation that payment succeeded but never your full card number.
- If you arrive through an affiliate link: a referral code from the link is stored in a first-party cookie on your device so that, if you buy, the affiliate who referred you is credited. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
- When you request the free chapter: your email address.
- When you visit: standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) retained briefly for security, and cookieless, aggregate analytics that do not identify you or follow you across sites.
What we deliberately do not collect: we never see or store your payment card details (our payment processor handles card entry), and we do not ask for — and ask you not to send — any information about your child: no names, ages, diagnoses, evaluations, or school records. If you include such information in an email to us, we will not retain it beyond answering your message.
3. How we use information
To deliver your purchase, provide the free chapter, send edition updates you are entitled to, answer support requests, process refunds, and — only if you opt in — send occasional emails about the Manual. Every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link, honored promptly.
4. Sharing
We share data only with the service providers needed to run this product: our payment processor (to charge your card), our email service (to deliver the book, updates, and the free chapter), our affiliate platform (to credit a sale to the affiliate who referred you, when applicable), [our sales-tax service, if one is used, to calculate and file tax], and our hosting provider. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use advertising or social-media tracking pixels.
5. Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, and analytics are aggregate and cookieless. Two small first-party items may be stored on your device: a session-storage flag (not a cookie) that remembers whether you have dismissed the free-chapter dialog, and — only if you arrive through an affiliate link — a referral cookie that stores the affiliate's referral code for up to [90] days so that a later purchase can be credited to them. The referral cookie is first-party and is not used to track you across other websites.
6. Retention
Purchase records are kept as long as needed to honor lifetime updates, refunds, and legal obligations. Free-chapter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained for a short security window and then deleted.
7. Your rights
Email [SUPPORT EMAIL] to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of marketing. We honor these requests for all users regardless of where you live, including rights under state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act.
8. Children
This site is directed at adults — parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13, and, as stated above, we do not collect information about children at all.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS; card entry is handled entirely by our payment processor in its own hosted fields; access to order data is limited to those who need it to run the product.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting existing purchasers will be announced by email.
